Pete joined Dirigo Management Company in 1994 as a HVAC technician. He has over 30 years experience in all aspects of property maintenance. He served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years, primarily as an electrician in a 1200-psi power plant, but also worked in various engineering trades as well. After leaving the military, Pete continued within the building trades field in both commercial and residential. He worked in building construction as well as building systems repair and installation with the South Portland Housing Authority, local developers and local property management companies. He has attended several schools including Naval Electrical & Electronics School, Southern Maine Technical College and attended several classes provided by vendors and their company representatives in order to maintain the operational knowledge on new building systems and equipment. Pete holds certificates in both Boiler Operation and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.
Pete currently supervises the maintenance department, working directly with property managers and property owners as well as any vendors that are working on DMC properties. His department and crew provides service in general building maintenance as well as service in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, locksmith, landscaping and snow removal. The maintenance department also develops and executes Preventive Maintenance Programs for both commercial and residential building mechanical systems.
