Alan joined Dirigo Management Company in December 2008 after working in the commercial construction industry as Safety Director and Property Manager for a large company, and as Superintendent for a smaller one. Some of the projects completed in those capacities include the construction of schools, banks and numerous tenant fit ups for many different businesses. The property management aspect involved overseeing all aspects of a 5,000 square foot multi-tenant office building. He currently manages a portfolio of residential condominium properties located in Southern Maine. Educational accomplishments include a BS in Accounting from Thomas College and numerous multi-week training courses while working as a Claims Adjuster for a large Boston based multi-line insurance firm. As District Accountant for 12 privately held water utility companies spread across Maine, he performed all duties related to accounting, budgeting and inventory control.
At Dirigo, Alan has responsibility for the overall operation of each condominium association in his portfolio, including budget preparation and reporting, maintenance, capital projects, working together with Executive Boards and owners to address various issues, and contracting vendors for the many services required.
